1. Introduction
KAI is an AI-powered assistant built for MyLifestyle distributors and entrepreneurs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use KAI (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.
We designed KAI with privacy in mind. We collect only the data we need to deliver the Service, we protect it in transit and at rest, and we give you straightforward controls to access, export, or delete your information at any time.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, and only what is necessary for each feature to work:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Profile and brand data: your tagline, bio, brand colors, uploaded logo, photos, Instagram handle, and WhatsApp number.
- Content you create: chat conversations with KAI, research notebooks and source materials, generated posts and captions, product photos, announcements, testimonials, and presentations.
- Usage data: features you use, sessions, timestamps, approximate language preference, and in-app actions that help us improve the product.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, and Expo push notification tokens (if you enable notifications).
- Biometric data: Face ID and Touch ID are processed entirely on your device by iOS/Android. KAI never receives, stores, or transmits your biometric templates.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide the core Service — authenticate you, run your conversations, generate content, and sync your settings across devices.
- To personalize your experience — remember your brand preferences, preferred language, and recently used features.
- To send notifications you have opted into, such as alerts when a presentation finishes generating or a testimonial is approved.
- To compute aggregated, anonymized analytics that help us improve quality, latency, and feature priorities.
- To provide customer support and respond to your questions.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms when required.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
KAI relies on established third-party services. Each processes only the minimum data needed to perform its task. Links to their privacy policies are provided.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — powers the AI chat. Your prompts and conversation context are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. See https://www.anthropic.com/privacy.

- Expo — delivers mobile push notifications and over-the-air app updates. See https://expo.dev/privacy.

5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are salted and hashed; we never store plain-text passwords.
- Our database sits behind strict access controls; only the KAI application and a limited number of authorized administrators can reach it.
- We retain your account and content data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
- Servers are primarily located in the United States.
6. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — permanently delete your account and associated data.
- Export — download your content in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — turn off optional features (notifications, marketing emails) at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
KAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us at support@kaisystem.ai.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app, by email, or through a notice on this page. The "Effective" date at the top of the policy always reflects the current version. Previous versions are available on request at support@kaisystem.ai.

10. Legal Compliance
- GDPR (European Union) — EU residents have the rights described above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

- Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) — we process data in line with applicable Egyptian regulations.
